As an outsider, I am able to observe the conference through a different lens. 2014 was my third conference as a volunteer. Raleigh was my first introduction to ACS. Madison added a new dimension. Sacramento confirmed that my first two experiences were real, not just an illusion of wonderful cheesiness. While I'm learning about the world of cheese, my favorite part is getting to know the people. My newly formed relationships with Texas cheesemakers are treasured. And with each conference, I find new treasures with ACS people from around the globe. I appreciate Max McCalman's gift of teaching and have discovered that many of the ACS members are also great teachers. For that, I'm grateful.
